Crimson Cadence began as an attempt to bring more opportunities for mixed a cappella to the campus of Indiana University, and promote close-harmony vocal music. Past iterations of the group had the opportunity to sing in the Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes, as an exhibition act for the regional ICCA semifinal, have clinic with Deke Sharon during Vocalosity's stop in Bloomington, and perform on the Friday Night Showcase of the Kettering National A cappella Festival.
They have previously received feedback from Jeff Smith of M-Pact, and had a coaching with Accent, the international collaborative of vocal jazzers, at SingStrong 2016. Additional clinics have occurred with James Rose (Baritone, Accent), and they had the opportunity to sing for Take 6 in February 2018.
Now in their 6th year, Crimson Cadence has been restructured as a part-time, a cappella and accompanied effort led by Jeremy Gussin as he finishes up his graduate degree. Brand new line-up, new sound, same passion, and a healthy dose of riffs.
